Lt. Governor Judge to Announce Travel Iowa '09 Tour Today
Statewide tour to encourage Iowans to support local attractions this year
DES MOINES – In an effort to encourage Iowans to visit the state’s attractions this summer - and in the process invest their money in Iowa’s communities to support local businesses and jobs – Lt. Governor Patty Judge will announce Travel Iowa’09 this morning.
Travel Iowa ‘09 will take the Lt. Governor to more than 65 counties, visiting attractions that Iowans have heard of, as well as some that are yet to be discovered. The statewide tour will also encourage Iowans this summer to stay in their state, and to experience all that Iowa has to offer.
The Lt. Governor will make the announcement at the Blank Park Zoo, one of Iowa’s most popular attractions.
