I want to congratulate the Iowa Speedway and the People of Newton for securing a spot on the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide series. This event will draw thousands to our state, and give Iowans a chance to see for themselves some of the sport’s best.
“In addition, I want to thank Nationwide Insurance for not only sponsoring the NASCAR Nationwide series, but for helping to bring NASCAR to Iowa. They have been a steadfast partner in our state’s economic development efforts, and today’s announcement embodies their commitment to our state.
