Governor Culver And Lt. Governor Judge Issue Statement On Monona County Tornado
Tornado claims four lives, dozens reported injured
(Johnston)- Governor Culver and Lt. Governor Judge issued a statement on the Monona County tornado that hit the Little Sioux Scout Ranch in Turin, Iowa:
“We have learned a tornado hit the Little Sioux Scout Ranch this evening in Monona County near Turin, IA. Unfortunately, reports confirm that four people have lost their lives tonight, and many more were injured. We are profoundly saddened and hold the families of those affected by this tornado in our prayers.
“We urge Iowans to keep a close eye on weather reports tonight, tomorrow and as long as this severe weather pattern continue and take all warnings seriously.”
