Statement From Governor Culver On Passage Of Wellness Legislation
DES MOINES – Today, Governor Chet Culver issued the following statement regarding the Senate’s passage of Senate File 2279 and SF 2319.
“I want to commend the Iowa Senate for passing the Culver/Judge Wellness Bill and the Healthy Kids Act earlier today. By acting in a bi-partisan manner, the legislature has once again demonstrated our commitment to giving all Iowans the tools they need for a happy, healthy life. These two important pieces of legislation will improve the lives of thousands of Iowans, and make Iowa a model for wellness and healthy living. I look forward to the House quickly taking up this legislation and sending it to my desk to sign.”
