Culver, Judge Name 186 To Serve On State Boards And Commissions
DES MOINES – Today, Governor Chet Culver and Lt. Governor Patty Judge appointed 186 Iowans to serve on 75 separate boards and commissions.
“A democracy is strong because of the participation of its citizens,” said Governor Culver. “I am proud to nominate these Iowans from all walks of life and from every corner of our state, and I thank them for their willingness to serve. Citizen involvement is key to ensuring that state government is representative of all people it serves. I look forward to working with these new appointees in our common efforts to build a stronger, brighter future for all Iowans.”
