Governor Culver Appoints New Board And Commission Members
128 Iowans appointed to serve on 35 boards or commissions
(Des Moines) Today, Governor Chet Culver announced the names of 128 Iowans that he has appointed to serve on various state boards and commissions. The deadline for the latest round of applicants was June 30, 2007.
Governor Culver said, “I am pleased with this latest list of board and commission appointees. If we are going to build One Iowa, I believe we need to make sure Iowa’s boards and commissions reflect the make up of our state with regards to geography, gender and ethnicity.
“We continue to work hard to ensure that all Iowans are represented on the state’s boards and commissions, and I am honored these talented and capable individuals have agreed to serve in the Culver/Judge Administration,” Governor Culver added.
