Governor Culver Commends House On Passage Of Power Fund
(Des Moines) Below is a statement from Governor Chet Culver commending the Iowa House for passing the Iowa Power Fund by a vote of 88-10.
STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR CHET CULVER:
"I commend the House for working together in a bipartisan way to pass the Iowa Power Fund. As I said when I was inaugurated in January, I believe it is our time to accept the challenges before us, and to tap Iowa's unlimited potential when it comes to renewable energy.
"The strong, bipartisan support of the Iowa Power Fund reflects just how important this policy is to the future of Iowa as we enter into this new energy economy. I truly believe it is time for Iowa to take the lead in the race to become the energy capitol of the world, and the Iowa Power Fund will help us do just that."
