Governor Culver Signs Seven Bills Today
(DES MOINES) Governor Chet Culver signed the following 7 bills into law today:
House File 615: clarifies the membership of the Board of Educational Examiners.
House File 759: restates one of the functions of the Clarinda Correctional Facility more clearly and appropriately.
House File 780: authorizes the district court to temporarily modify a child support order when an application to modify a child support or child custody order is pending.
Senate File 302: changes the timing of payments appropriated to Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) regional tourism marketing out of state gambling tax receipts.
Senate File 337: relates to information required to be indexed in the records of the county recorder.
Senate File 463: concerns the licensing and operations of a manufacturer of ambulances, rescue vehicles, or fire vehicles.
Senate File 528: prohibits the Department of Corrections from entering into an agreement with a private sector for-profit-entity for the purpose of housing inmates committed to the custody of the Director of the Department of Corrections.
