Governor Culver Signed Three Bills Today
(Des Moines) – Today, Governor Chet Culver signed the following bills into law:
GENERATION IOWA (House File 617):
HF 617 creates the Generation Iowa Commission to further Iowa’s dedication of investing in activities and practices to attract young adults to the state.
KEG REGISTRATION (House File 650):
HF 650 requires that all beer kegs be given an identification number and information about the purchaser be kept on record for each keg purchased.
ANATOMICAL GIFTS ACT (Senate File 509):
SF 509 sets up standards for consent and revocation of organ donation in Iowa. Provisions are made for third-party decision making in some cases, including revocation. This bill provides stability and predictability to the process of organ donation in the State of Iowa.
