Internships
Governor Culver and Lt. Governor Judge are offering undergraduate, graduate, and law school students an exciting opportunity through the internship program. The program is designed to meet the individual needs of students and assist the Governor and Lt. Governor in meeting the goals of the office.
Although students are not financially compensated for their internship, the office will work with each intern to assist with college credit for the experience. Interns will gain experience at the center of state government, the opportunity to network with people from the executive and legislative branches and the chance to earn recommendations from staff. Internships are available for summer, fall and spring terms. Interns must be willing to work at least 16 hours per week.
Internships fall under the following categories:
- Communications
- Policy
- Outreach
- Casework
- Legal
- Administrative
Please read the full description of the Governors Office Internship Program. Individuals interested in an internship should complete an application and return it to the Office of The Governor with a resume. Applications for the Governor’s Office Internship Program are on a rolling basis. As soon as application is received, it is reviewed. This means that candidate selection decisions are made quickly and applicants are encouraged to apply early (at least 2 months prior to the start of the semester).
